What is the Syrian refugee run?

The Syrian Refugee run is a non-competitive 25 or 50-kilometer run that travels the length of the Hong Kong trail. A team of runners will have to fight to finish the full 50-kilometers before the sun sets. There is no saying if a runner will complete the full race, as it is a challenge to traverse the many canyons and mountain peaks of Hong Kong island. We are asking sponsors to donate a small amount of money to a runner of their choice, for every kilometer they run. All proceeds from this race go to an organization called "The Future Initiative", run by a previous HKIS guest speaker and a friend of ours, Jordan Hattar. This program gives Syrian refugees laptops and provides them with the means to an online education.
